Oct. 2 work day

We worked out at East End over 4 hours today. We had 38 volunteers. Three volunteers were regulars, 3 were community members and the rest were from various VCU groups including Focused Inquiry, ASPiRE, AFAM and sociology classes. They got a lot cleared/recleared, they got the entrance road cleaned up of all the brushy stuff along side of it, and found a few grave markers including one under a fallen that we cut up and moved.

Erin Hollaway Palmer and I went down to Evergreen afterwards and helped a family find the plot of a family member and then used the trimmer to clear the plot and to clear a plot for another family visiting the grave of a family member.
