It was a busy afternoon and evening cemetery wise. I worked at East End for a couple of hours in the afternoon. We had 9 volunteers from ASPiRE. We got one plot mostly cleared and 2 gravestones uncovered. A couple of the volunteers worked at moving the brush pile to the dumpster so the pile is growing smaller.
In the evening I talked to a group of seniors and staff at Virginia State University about the Evergreen and East Cemetery clean ups. They plan to have volunteers come out and help at East End starting this Saturday.
